Job summary

The Pokémon Company International seeks a Merchandise Development Specialist to steer product direction, storytelling, and brand integration across Home, Office, and Outdoors lines. You will develop briefs, guide design, and align assortments with customer and business goals.

With 5–7 years in merchandise and graphic design for consumer products, you’ll collaborate with Designers and stakeholders, delivering innovative concepts and ensuring quality across catgories.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience in merchandise and graphic design development for consumer products.
• Advanced conceptual and practical knowledge of the product creation process from concept to production.
• Deep experience planning product cycles and merchandise strategies aligned to brand and business goals.
• Proven ability to work across established lines and new (R&D) development.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor peers and contribute to team development and quality elevation.

Responsibilities

• Direct product direction, planning and execution across assigned categories.
• Maintain category coherence with brand standards and customer expectations using data-informed reasoning.
• Translate strategy into actionable, visually compelling briefs for internal teams.
• Guide product direction across established lines and R&D opportunities.
• Own timelines, readiness and quality for assigned product work with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and present 3–6 concepts per product set with trade-offs and risks.
