Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
2. Helping with hiring, training, and developing store associates.
3. Performing all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
4. Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
5. Protecting and securing all company assets, including cash.
6. Adhering to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
7. Maintaining a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
8. Keeping all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
9. Providing supervisory responsibility for hourly associates when the Store Manager is absent.
10. Processing all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
11. Assisting with receipt and return of merchandise, managing freight flow, and maintaining stockroom organization.
12. Ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective daily, planning, merchandising, and maintaining sales displays.
13. Supporting the Store Manager in ordering, stocking, and implementing sales plans.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
