Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Handle store activity requests and communications delegated by the Store Manager.
10. Assist in the receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
11. Manage freight flow in collaboration with the Store Manager.
12. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
13. Assist with ordering and stocking all merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
14. Maintain stockroom organization.
15. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
16. Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
17. Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
