Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated and assigned by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, requests, and other communications related to store activities as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist the Store Manager with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
10. Assist Store Manager in managing freight flow.
11. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
12. Assist in ordering and stocking all merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
13. Assist in maintaining stockroom organization.
14. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
15. Assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
16. Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
