Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey, and other communications related to store activities as delegated.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Assist in managing freight flow and meet or exceed productivity standards.
11. Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
12. Help maintain stockroom organization.
13. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
14. Assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
15. Support planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
