Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of accounts payable experience and 2-4 years of supervisory experience required
• Retail experience preferred but not required
• Considerable knowledge of accounts payable operations with large ERP AP system experience
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers and external parties
• Ability to lead a team towards a common goal

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Merchandise Accounts Payable functions and manage departmental personnel
• Prior to payment processes ensure all transactions and exceptions have been reviewed and verified
• Analyzes data to determine trends and forecasts to assist in company planning
• Develops and directs process improvements and monitoring controls within AP
• Develops, prepares and reviews monthly reporting deliverables for management
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and postings and ensure reconciliations
• Develop and maintain procedures around AP to ensure SOX compliance
• Maintain relationships with Vendor community, Business Units, Supply Chain, Buyers and Corporate stakeholders
• Develop staff within functional areas
