Qualifications

• 1-3 years of upholstery manufacturing experience preferred; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Good math and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively leading a group of associates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining supportive and focused.
• Strong sense of urgency and time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify production issues quickly and ensure consistent workflow and control, prioritizing to support production goals.
• Monitor and maintain general supplies for the line/department and coordinate with supply personnel to keep the line running.
• Assist Supervisors with assessing performance issues and provide direction or training to maintain quality and productivity.
• Identify performance gaps and balance lines or product flow while covering absences.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Model work ethics aligned with Supervisor and Management; foster teamwork.
• Demonstrate Williams-Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values in daily activities.
• Solicit associate opinions on issues affecting the work area to maximize productivity and meet goals.
• Share approved information with associates through floor presence or direct communication with supervision.
• Maintain clean and safe production; respond to unsafe conditions promptly.
• Track productivity, research issues, and provide feedback on performance.
• Coordinate team assignments by balancing resources as volume requires.
