Job summary

Target in Minneapolis is seeking a Merchandise Planner to own financials and forecasting for the merchandising division. You will serve as the hub between Merchandising and Supply Chain, translating data into insights and guiding category investments to meet projected sales.

This role requires 4-year degree or equivalent, 2–6 years of relevant experience, and strong strategic, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of Merchandising experience.
  • Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible, resilient and comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing.

Responsibilities

  • In-office presence in downtown Minneapolis Monday-Thursday; working from home on Friday is optional.
  • Lead financial forecasting and open-to-buy process for the merchandising division.
  • Serve as the hub between Merchandising and Supply Chain to align on category investments and forecasts.
  • Provide in-season analysis and scenario planning to inform go-forward recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to optimize assortments.
