Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Manager, Merch Analytics Hindsight to own the enterprise post-season and post-launch analytical discipline for the Merchandise organization. The role measures what happened against what was planned, grounding forward-looking plans in evidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related analytical field.
• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, merchandise finance, retail analytics, FP&A, banking, or a comparable analytical role.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis into concise, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the hindsight calendar and cadence across post-season, post-promotion, and post-launch review processes.
• Build standardized hindsight templates covering sell-through, margin realization, forecast accuracy, markdown effectiveness, and inventory productivity.
• Maintain data lineage and definitions to ensure reliable outputs.
• Deliver the hindsight package to Merchants, Planning, and senior leadership with clear, prioritized recommendations.
• Quantify SKU and category-level productivity; identify winners and underperformers to inform next assortment cycle.
• Measure the impact of promotions and pricing actions; distinguish lift from cannibalization.
• Evaluate NPI performance against pre-launch forecast and feed learnings back into forecasting.
• Own the measurement of demand and margin forecast accuracy and bias; partner with planning on remediation.
