Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture seeks a Manager of Merch Analytics Hindsight to own the post-season and post-launch analytical discipline across merchandise. You will establish rigorous hindsight processes, translate findings into recommendations, and partner with Merchants and Planning leadership to influence assortment, pricing, and demand planning.

Qualified candidates have 6+ years in financial/retail analytics, advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field.
• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, merchandise finance, retail analytics, FP&A, or similar.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into concise, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the hindsight calendar and cadence across all merchandise categories.
• Build standardized hindsight templates covering sell-through, margin realization, forecast accuracy, markdown effectiveness, and inventory productivity.
• Maintain data lineage and definitions to ensure consistent metric definitions and reliable data sourcing.
• Deliver the hindsight package with clear, prioritized recommendations to Merchants and senior leadership.
• Quantify SKU and category-level productivity to inform next assortment cycle; measure impact of promotions and pricing actions.
