Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Rockville Centre in Hempstead, NY is seeking a dedicated service advisor to guide Mercedes-Benz owners through the service drive. This full-time role combines base pay with commissions, offering opportunities to build lasting client relationships and explain repairs clearly.

You will write repair orders, keep clients updated by phone, text and email, and work closely with Technicians and parts staff to keep visits on schedule. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within automotive service.
• Ability to explain technical work in plain language.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple clients in a busy service drive.
• Proficient with service management systems (DMS).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients in the service drive and listen to understand each vehicle's needs.
• Write up repair orders accurately and explain maintenance and repairs with honest estimates.
• Keep clients updated from drop-off to pickup by phone, text and email.
• Work closely with Technicians, Parts team and Service BDC to keep visits on schedule.
• Review completed work and invoices with clients at pickup.
• Follow up after each visit and build relationships that keep clients coming back.

The role

• Greet clients in our service drive and listen to understand each vehicle's needs

You bring

• Customer service experience; service advisor or automotive service experience preferred
• A clear communicator who explains technical work in plain language
• Organized and detail-minded, able to look after several clients at once in a busy service drive
• Comfortable with computers; Tekion or another dealer management system (DMS) is a plus
• Mercedes-Benz or luxury-brand service experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license
• A true team player
