Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Rockville Centre in Hempstead, NY seeks skilled automotive technicians who take ownership of their work and uphold high quality standards in a fully equipped shop. The role is based at our Service Center in Hempstead and requires diagnosing with XENTRY and MB tools, plus repairing MB vehicles across all major systems.

You will perform engine, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and climate control repairs, complete warranty tasks to factory specs, and road-test to verify

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience; MB experience preferred.
• Ability to independently diagnose vehicle concerns and perform mechanical repairs.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Capable of managing assigned bay and workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle concerns using XENTRY and MB diagnostic equipment.
• Repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and climate control systems.
• Complete warranty repairs to factory specifications.

Job description

Run your bay like your own shop. We're looking for skilled technicians who take ownership of their work, manage their time well, hold a high quality standard and work independently, backed by a fully air-conditioned shop, state-of-the-art equipment and paid factory training.

What you'll do

• Diagnose vehicle concerns using XENTRY and other Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment
• Engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake and climate control repairs
• Warranty repairs performed to factory specifications
• Road test and verify repairs
• Identify and recommend additional repairs

What you bring: B-Level

• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive repair experience; experience with another manufacturer is welcome
• Able to independently diagnose vehicle concerns and complete mechanical repairs
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
• Able to manage your assigned bay and workload independently

What you bring: A-Level

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience with Mercedes-Benz
• Able to independently diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across all systems: mechanical, electrical, electronic, interior and exterior
• Well-versed in Mercedes-Benz operating systems, vehicle technology and product lines
• Advanced troubleshooting and a high level of technical independence; handles complex repairs without routine diagnostic help

Both levels:

• Your own professional tool set
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Mercedes-Benz and ASE certifications preferred, not required
