Job summary

Ascendo Resources seeks an experienced licensed MEP Engineer to design and implement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings. The role requires collaboration with architects and engineers to integrate designs while meeting codes and safety standards.

You will perform detailed calculations, develop drawings, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Strong problem-solving, communication, and drafting software skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an MEP engineer.
• Knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Proficient in the use of design and calculation software.
• BSc degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is desired but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings
• Work closely with architects and other engineers to ensure designs are integrated seamlessly
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction specifications
• Develop MEP drawings and specifications
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
• Conduct cost estimation and prepare budget reports
• Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure job success
• Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details
