Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead coordination, planning, and supervision of MEP work on large, complex data center projects. You will review documents, resolve discrepancies with design engineers, and help drive look-ahead schedules and site logistics.

The role requires strong electrical expertise, supervisory experience, and excellent communication with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Strong electrical construction background with experience leading MEP scopes on large, complex projects.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
