Manhattan Construction Company is seeking a Nights MEP Superintendent to oversee field operations on assigned projects, ensuring timely and profitable completion of mechanical and electrical work. You will supervise field labor, coordinate with Project Manager, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills, plus excellent communication with clients, owners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years of trade contractor experience in a superintendent role (or similar).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
• Review and approve trade contractor payment applications with Project Manager.
• Maintain relationships with Owner/Architect/Engineer representatives.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan with Project Manager.
• Ensure an injury-free environment and safety compliance.
• Attend project and subcontractor meetings and coordinate QA/QC.

POSITIONSUMMARY:

The MEP Superintendent (NIGHTS)is responsible for fieldoperations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitablecompletion of each project in regard to Mechanical and Electrical. The MEPSuperintendent directly supervises field labor force, including laborers/craftworkers. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational andtime management skills, as well as strong communication and client serviceskills.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field laborforce
• Review and approve Trade Contractor PaymentApplications with Project Manager
• Maintain good relationships with internal and externalclients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan, incoordination with Project Manager
• Manage quality program
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material
• Manage self-perform features of work
• Ensure an Injury-Free Environment through own actionsand mentoring others
• Manage schedules and ensure all activities take placeon or ahead of scheduled dates
• Attend and participate in project meetings, includingsubcontractor meetings
• Assists with PreCon/Estimating phase of the project
• Verify final record drawings are accurate
• Mobilizes the site and set up site utilities
• Assures necessary permits are secured and inspectionsoccur
• Reviews and verifies all Requests for Information(RFIs)
• Reviews and approves submittals for processing
• Reviews cost reports to assure they reflect accuratequantities and work put in place
• Keeping detailed daily records of MEPS tradecontractors' and work progress
• Responsible for conductingthemselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibitingattributes matching the Way We Work.
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering orequivalent. May substitute required education degree with relatedexperience on a one-to-one basis
• 8 years of Trade contractor experience in a superintendent role (orsimilar)

WORKINGCONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:

• You must be adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
• Ability to repeat the same movements.
• Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
• Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence.
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).
• Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards.
