Job summary

Verdex Construction is seeking an MEP Superintendent to join our Operations team in Miami. You will oversee MEP construction activities, coordinate with the Project Manager and General Superintendent, and ensure work meets specifications, budget, and schedule.

You will lead design professionals and subcontractors, manage field safety, inspect workmanship, and drive approvals of MEP submittals to achieve on-time project closeout.

• Experience leading MEP construction on large projects.

• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Verdex Construction is looking for an MEP Superintendent to join our Operations team to be part of our mission of "Building Something Better. The MEP Superintendent supports the Project Manager and/or General Superintendent to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field regarding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The MEP Superintendent is responsible for directly managing a projects MEP construction activities to meet specifications within budgeted cost by the scheduled completion date. The MEP Superintendent may be the lead superintendent on small projects or be responsible for a specific area of a larger project. Essential Functions: Lead design professionals and subcontractors in the development of coordinated MEPS documents necessary to graphically represent (Mechanical, Electrical, Elevators, Plumbing and Sprinkler) MEP installation. Coordinate and manage general conditions of work and project logistics. Collaborate with public utility suppliers to obtain final service connections in compliance with determined project schedule delivery date and system startups. Complete the technical review and approval of all MEP submittals. Manage MEP project closeout, ensuring all requirements are met. Achieve all required MEP jurisdictional inspections. Resolve all clash detections identified by the development of the coordination documents. Oversee process for state elevator inspections. Enforce high safety standards for MEP activities on job site. Inspect the quality of work for compliance with design standard and ensure corrective action occurs if/when necessary. The above is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities.
