Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple MEP tasks.
- Ensuring there are minimal problems from the design to the delivery stage
- Using project management software, AutoCAD and word processing programs to create MEP plans
- Preparing cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems
- Overseeing the work of the project management team and ensuring adherence to the project schedule
- Coordinating on-site work with architects, structural engineers and electrical engineers
- Providing MEP system installation, maintenance and technical advice to service providers, supervisors and inspectors
- Inspecting, analysing and finding solutions for engineering issues related to the MEP features.
- Reviewing and evaluating the work of contractors, consultants and other construction industry professionals
- Reviewing contractor drawings and installation method statements to ensure they comply with the MEP design plan.
- Making technical clarifications to resolve coordination issues and design modifications to suit specific on-site construction requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining on-site health and safety policies and explaining the necessity of complying with these to the crew
- Undertaking off-site inspections of MEP
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
- A minimum of 2-5 yrs experience working as a MEP Site Engineer on similar projects.
- Great leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Superb mathematical, time-management, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
