Position Summary

Respond to guest repair requests and attend to maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Perform preventive maintenance, inspect tools and equipment, and carry necessary tools and supplies. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings. Maintain inventory and requisition parts as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication standards.

Display proficiency in at least one of the following areas, with above-average skills in two others: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, or general building management. Use hand and power tools safely, repair or replace plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, and troubleshoot equipment. Assist with surface preparation, painting, drywall repairs, and cleaning of repair areas. Follow safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Utilize engineering computer systems related to maintenance and energy management. Perform mid-level troubleshooting of MEP systems and mentor other engineers. Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.

Follow all safety, security, and company policies. Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality. Provide excellent guest service, support team goals, and communicate professionally. Lift objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical movements such as climbing stairs and ladders.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D., with vocational or technical training.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Required Qualifications

• Universal CFC Certification.
• Meet applicable state and federal licensing requirements.
