Job summary

MK Consulting Group seeks a seasoned MEP Construction Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute building services systems on commercial and industrial projects across the United States. You will lead trade subcontractors, oversee 3D/BIM coordination, and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and 5–10+ years of hands-on MEP experience, with deep knowledge of HVAC, power distribution,

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, or heavy construction managing MEP scopes.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC, power distribution, low-voltage, fire protection, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3D/BIM coordination to resolve clashes between MEP and structural elements before installation.
• Hire, bid, negotiate, and supervise MEP trade contractors and suppliers.
• Inspect on-site work to verify compliance with building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes.
• Track project milestones, review submittals and shop drawings, and manage cost estimates or changes.
• Direct system startup, testing, and final handover to the client or facility team.

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Construction Manager plans, coordinates, and executes building services systems. Key duties include managing trade subcontractors, overseeing system coordination and 3D modeling, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

• System Coordination: Lead 3D/BIM coordination processes to resolve clashes between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements before installation.
• Subcontractor Management: Hire, bid, negotiate, and supervise MEP trade contractors and suppliers.
• Quality & Code Compliance: Inspect work on-site to verify compliance with local building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes.
• Schedule & Budget Control: Track project milestones, review technical submittals and shop drawings, and manage cost estimates or changes.
• Testing & Commissioning: Direct system startup, testing, and final handover to the client or facility team.
