Job summary

NXI Search is seeking an experienced MEP Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of mechanical and electrical work on Texas projects valued up to $200 million.

You will coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, design consultants, and project teams to keep construction progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget, with emphasis on BIM/VDC coordination and commissioning. Strong leadership and communication are essential to maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex MEP construction projects.
• Background in data centers, healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, or major commercial developments preferred.
• Strong capability in budget management, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP delivery through pre-construction, installation, and project handover.
• Develop coordinated plans for trade packages, procurement, and construction schedules.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and resolve issues affecting delivery.
• Track costs, review contract requirements, and manage changes, RFIs, and submittals.
• Anticipate technical risks, scope gaps, and equipment lead times.
• Guide BIM/VDC coordination and constructability reviews.
• Manage startup, testing, and commissioning alongside specialist teams.
• Monitor workmanship and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Chair progress meetings, mentor team members, and maintain productive client relationships.

A leading ENR-ranked General Contractor is seeking an MEP Senior Project Manager to support projects valued up to $200 million. Its portfolio includes data centers, hospitals, and commercial developments across Texas.

About the Role

You will lead the planning and delivery of mechanical and electrical work, bringing together trade contractors, suppliers, design consultants, and project teams. The role requires strong technical oversight and commercial management to keep construction progressing safely, within budget, and against agreed milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP delivery through pre-construction, installation, and project handover.
• Develop coordinated plans for trade packages, procurement, and construction schedules.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and resolve issues affecting delivery.
• Track costs, review contract requirements, and manage changes, RFIs, and submittals.
• Anticipate technical risks, scope gaps, and equipment lead times.
• Guide BIM/VDC coordination and constructability reviews.
• Manage startup, testing, and commissioning alongside specialist teams.

• Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, coordination, commissioning, and contract administration.
• Confident leadership and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve problems.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
