Job summary

BL Harbert International seeks a skilled MEP QC professional to support the QC Manager, Project Manager, and Superintendent in managing MEP/FP operations on industrial, commercial, or federal projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating inspections and tests, reviewing designs for conformance, managing the submittal process, and maintaining calibration and quality records in accordance with project requirements and BLHI safety policies.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of formal training and experience on industrial, commercial, or federal projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems as it pertains to installation, coordination, operation, and start-up and commissioning.
• Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
• Capable of obtaining or possessing inspection licenses and/or certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess sub-contractors' capabilities to meet quality requirements.
• Responsible for performance of all MEP inspection and testing activities.
• Assist with design reviews and contract document/code conformance on design-build projects.
• Own the MEP & FP submittal process and ensure turnover documentation is maintained and handed over on schedule.
• Maintain project quality records and quality audit plans during construction.
• Conduct periodic Quality Program training for site supervisory personnel.
• Adhere to testing and record keeping obligations and BLHI safety rules.
