Job summary

Actalent in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams through design, coordination, and construction phases for commercial facilities.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget, drive cross-discipline collaboration, and maintain strong client communications. Hybrid work with 2–3 days remote; pay range $80k–$120k; PMP preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2+ years of project management in the MEP industry.
• Experience managing commercial projects (hotels, medical offices, banks, schools, entertainment).
• Bachelors or Associates in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical.
• Ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Strong coordination of multi-discipline teams.
• Experience overseeing technical research, designs, and specs.
• Ability to manage QA/QC processes and document results.
• Excellent communication for internal and external updates.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple ongoing projects.
• Ability to lead meetings and drive deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline teams of engineers, designers, and interns across all project phases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scope, schedule, budget, and milestones.
• Develop and monitor schedules and budgets, track costs, deadlines, and change orders.
• Conduct kickoff meetings to align scope, schedules, and budget expectations.
• Coordinate internal and external communications among stakeholders.
• Coordinate preparation, quality, and timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Drive cross-discipline coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and others.
• Assign and oversee personnel for design, specifications, and technical plans.
• Lead design meetings, remove obstacles, ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage engineering reviews and QA/QC analyses and publish results.
• Interface with clients, sub-consultants, external firms, contractors for updates and needs.
• Coordinate and schedule site visits to support design and construction.
• Manage RFIs and submittals during construction administration.
