Job summary

AlphaGov in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial plumbing and process piping from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

You will lead planning, supervise crews and vendors, review drawings and submittals, coordinate procurement, track costs, and drive project success through proactive communication with general contractors, engineers, and inspectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial plumbing construction
• Proven experience managing commercial plumbing and/or process piping projects
• Previous employment with a plumbing contractor, mechanical contractor, or MEP subcontractor
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, construction drawings, specifications, and installation methods
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractors
• Ability to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client management skills

Important

Direct commercial or industrial plumbing construction project management experience is required. Residential-only project management candidates and those limited to MEP coordination or administrative support will not qualify.
