Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects in Pensacola, FL. You will manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors from pre-construction through closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical or MEP construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, boilers, ducts, and controls.
• Experience with budgets, schedules, forecasts, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings.
• Experience coordinating field teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial HVAC and MEP construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Serve as primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
• Review construction documents, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate communication between field teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, labor productivity, safety compliance, and quality standards.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and vendor relationships.
• Track project financials, including billing, pay applications, cash flow, and profitability.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project handoff and scope reviews.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Engineers, Coordinators, and field personnel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, customer requirements, and company standards.
• Support project commissioning, startup activities, punch lists, and final turnover documentation.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including air handling units, chillers, boilers, ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of change management, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Experience coordinating field superintendents, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
