Commercial Construction Project Manager

Per Sé Group has an outstanding contract job opportunity for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to work on a major project with our premier client in Dallas, Texas. This role will include a significant amount of MEP construction project management. The site is being renovated to include a data center and high end office space with new elevators. The successful candidate must possess strong administration and task management skills, exhibit excellent organizational skills, demonstrate an eye for detail, and must thrive in a fast-paced team environment. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing adherence to contract terms, creating and controlling detailed project budgets from start to finish, and driving the overall progress of our client’s project.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, both internally and externally. Prepare and manage RFP packages for project managers, vendors, and consultants.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with architects, consultants, suppliers, and project managers.
  • Lead and oversee design processes according to approved schedules. Explain plans, project terminology, and contract terms to client teams as necessary.
  • Offer suggestions and strategies to maintain projects within budget.
  • Regularly communicate with clients about budget, schedule, and risks. Maintain positive relationships with primary client contacts.
  • Collaborate with various professionals to resolve project issues.
  • Monitor project activities for timely completion and adjust strategies when necessary.
  • Review and approve monthly contractor and vendor payments where necessary.
  • Manage project closeout process, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Guide and mentor all internal project resources.
  • Assist in preparing new project proposals, including fee structures and service plans.
  • Develop internal tracking and documentation processes for projects. Maintain project files according to company standards.
  • Participate in industry events and network for lead development.
  • Cultivate relationships with consultants, vendors, and industry professionals.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • 10 years minimum of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education. 8 years minimum of construction experience.
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, SharePoint document management.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to Budgeting, and Scheduling in order to fully understand project implications based on minimal conceptual information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide excellent service to executive‑level external and internal client stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities. Detail‑oriented with ability to manage to several key‑point metrics consistently and successfully.
  • Advanced proficiency in preparation and tracking of project budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to impact and influence to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed.
  • Ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and track project risks. Ability to multi‑task and work both in a team and independently.
  • PMP accreditation is an asset.

The pay range for this role is $70-$80/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type).
