Job summary

C.D. Smith Construction is seeking an MEP Manager to lead preconstruction, design and construction of MEPFP systems for our projects in Wisconsin. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical and plumbing work on time and within budget.

You will guide budgets, system selections, value engineering, coordination with design teams and subcontractors, and ensure seamless handoffs to the PM/VDC group while maintaining schedules and design integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of MEP design or design-built PM experience with mechanical/electrical/plumbing.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEPFP preconstruction, design and construction activities to ensure quality.
• Assist with early MEPFP budgets and system selections.
• Develop project MEPFP scopes and responsibility matrices.
• Review subcontractor proposals and change orders.
• Guide value engineering to maintain budget and schedule.
• Lead MEPFP subcontractor scoping and award recommendations.
• Identify early procurement items and expedite releases to maintain schedule.
