Job summary

AECOM Tishman is hiring an MEP Entry Level Project Engineer to be based in New York, NY. The position begins December 2026 within a field construction team focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

You will assist in coordinating subcontractors, monitor safety, and support project management to meet schedules. Candidates should hold a related Bachelor's degree and have internship exposure or willingness to learn in an MEP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Plumbing, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Desire to learn and work in an MEP environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Internship or prior exposure to the construction industry is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an area of responsibility.
• Receive supervision and direction from Superintendent/Project Manager.
• Help plan and coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, daily diaries, logs, RFIs, and submittal records.
• Interface with client, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance with design intent.
