Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Rogers, AR for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist in the analysis, design, and oversight of mechanical systems for general MEP and building projects, working with experienced engineers and a defined mentor group.

Paid internship with hands-on project experience and opportunities to engage across disciplines, with the potential to pursue full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and BIM software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects per IMEG standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations, project documentation, and permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
• Document design decisions and meetings while monitoring progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Assist with addendum information and documentation.
• Perform periodic job-site observations as required by the contract.
