Job summary

A leading construction firm in Dallas, Texas is seeking an MEP Manager to oversee the integration and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial MEP coordination, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant building codes. They will manage project-related aspects to ensure timely installation and adherence to quality standards, offering competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction/MEP coordination.
  • General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes, and plumbing codes.
  • Experience leading project coordination and commissioning of healthcare or mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design assistance, planning, and quality control.
  • Oversee commissioning management and submittals/approvals.
  • Support PM to organize and supervise MEP trades.

Job description

Position Purpose

At Rogers‑O’Brien, our MEP Managers ensure the seamless integration and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. They play a crucial role in managing all MEP‑related aspects of a project to ensure these systems are installed on time, within budget, and meet quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design assistance, planning and quality control
  • Commissioning management
  • Reviewing and expediting submittals/approvals to ensure timely project completion
  • Support PM and Superintendent to plan, organize and supervise the work of the MEP trades
Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, technology education or building construction/MEP, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction/MEP coordination
  • General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes and plumbing codes as they relate to construction projects
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical construction/MEP areas
  • Must have experience in leading project coordination, design assistance and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems in healthcare, telecommunications, data centers or other mission‑critical projects
  • Strong leadership and relationship skills required
  • Have proven track record as an MEP Manager for related projects with MEP scopes
