Adag Group is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis and support the delivery of a major data center project in Ohio.
The MEP Manager will provide overall leadership and coordination across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire protection, and other specialist systems, ensuring effective integration between design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Working as part of an integrated EPC project team, this role will be responsible for multidisciplinary MEP coordination, technical issue resolution, construction readiness, and ensuring systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to multiple large-scale projects across North America and internationally. Our data center projects range from approximately 250 to 400 MW each, with a total project portfolio of over 3 GW. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to take on complex, large-scale projects and make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing industry.
Your responsibilities:

- Lead multidisciplinary coordination across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire protection, and other specialist building systems.
- Establish MEP priorities and coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, construction teams, and commissioning teams.
- Identify, manage, and resolve technical and interdisciplinary issues throughout project execution.
- Chair MEP coordination meetings and readiness reviews with designers, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure system interfaces, boundaries, and responsibilities are clearly defined and coordinated.
- Provide technical leadership and support timely decision-making on MEP-related matters.
2. Design, Procurement & Construction Integration
- Align design releases, procurement requirements, construction sequencing, and commissioning activities with the overall project schedule.
- Coordinate MEP design requirements with field conditions and construction priorities.
- Support the planning and management of long-lead MEP equipment and ensure procurement dates align with installation and commissioning requirements.
- Coordinate builder’s-work requirements, equipment layouts, space allocation, access requirements, and installation sequencing.
- Review constructability and identify potential coordination conflicts before they impact field execution.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure MEP packages are ready for execution.
3. Construction, Quality & Progress Management
- Monitor MEP construction progress against project milestones and planned sequencing.
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, project standards, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to identify and resolve quality issues affecting MEP systems.
- Monitor completion, testing, energization, start-up, and turnover activities across MEP systems.
- Support the resolution of field issues, RFIs, technical queries, and coordination conflicts.
- Maintain visibility of MEP constraints, outstanding actions, and readiness requirements.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure construction activities support testing and commissioning requirements.
- Monitor system readiness for energization, start-up, functional testing, and integrated commissioning.
- Ensure MEP systems and associated documentation are progressively prepared for turnover and handover.
- Support the resolution of deficiencies, punch-list items, and outstanding technical issues.
- Ensure system boundaries and turnover packages are clearly coordinated between construction and commissioning teams.
5. Risk, Schedule & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and escalation risks, changes, and technical decisions that may affect capacity, redundancy, safety, schedule, quality, or cost.
- Monitor MEP interfaces and dependencies that could affect the critical path or overall project delivery.
- Work collaboratively with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, quality, safety, contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams.
- Communicate MEP progress, priorities, risks, and required decisions clearly to project leadership.
