Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection coordination for pharmaceutical and mission-critical construction projects in the Greater Boston area.

The role focuses on preconstruction and delivery, overseeing BIM/VDC coordination, schedules, procurement, and installation quality, while maintaining safety and client standards and reporting to project leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of MEP construction experience.
  • Experience delivering pharma, life sciences, healthcare or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Based in or able to commute throughout the Greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MEP subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Identify coordination issues and drive solutions before installation.
  • Support BIM and VDC coordination meetings.
  • Monitor MEP schedules, procurement, and long-lead equipment.
  • Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.
  • Provide regular updates to project leadership and key stakeholders.

Job description

A well-established general contractor is looking to hire an MEP Manager to support the delivery of complex pharmaceutical and mission-critical construction projects across the Greater Boston area.


This position will take ownership of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes throughout preconstruction and project delivery.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate MEP subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams

  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs

  • Identify coordination issues and drive solutions before installation

  • Support BIM and VDC coordination meetings

  • Monitor MEP schedules, procurement, and long-lead equipment

  • Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and closeout

  • Ensure work meets project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations

  • Provide regular updates to project leadership and key stakeholders


Requirements


  • 5+ years of MEP construction experience

  • Experience working for a general contractor or MEP subcontractor

  • Background delivering pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, data center, laboratory, or other mission-critical projects

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems

  • Experience coordinating multiple trades on technically complex projects

  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills

  • Based in or able to commute throughout the Greater Boston area
