Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Construction Supervisor to manage day-to-day field activities, supervise craft crews and subcontractors, and uphold safety, production goals, quality control, and cost management. The position supports a three-step progression (I, II, Sr.) to grow skill and responsibility on complex projects.

Applicants should have at least two years of supervisory experience in construction and a solid understanding of scheduling and cost control.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
• Understanding construction scheduling and cost control and the ability to supervise employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings and RFIs and manage quality control and safety, coordinating subcontractors.
• Assist with equipment selection, construction methods, and sequencing of operations.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate Lean planning.
• Conduct daily risk management with project leaders to ensure timely mitigation.
• Ensure environmental control processes are understood and followed, with corrective action as needed.
• Emphasize a culture of safety and execute the safety plan.
• Enforce the project management plan and ensure field activities align with policies.
• Manage costs and governance of change processes in project execution.
• Develop and train craft field teams and conduct on-the-job training.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, material, and subcontract activities per schedule.
• Participate in business development and preconstruction activities as directed.
• Prepare and maintain detailed area schedules and communicate changes daily.
• Review time sheets, quantities, and daily costs; maintain accurate reporting.
• Utilize reports to manage scope and progress on the project.
