Job summary

Harper Limbach is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot and diagnose MEP systems for diverse client sites. You will quickly identify issues, explain scope to customers, and deliver timely, cost-effective solutions.

You will work primarily in the field, reviewing plans, guiding apprentices, and upselling maintenance contracts where appropriate, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of MEP service experience in industrial, commercial, and/or building HVAC preventive maintenance.
• Ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers clearly.
• Commitment to safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems within building systems and either resolve or escalate as needed.
• Utilize HVAC diagnostic equipment to identify system issues.
• Review blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
• Inspect structures and locate serviceable items using building plans.
• Keep records and produce detailed work reports for accurate billing.
• Work with customers to develop solutions to concerns in order of magnitude.
• Upsell ongoing maintenance contracts to non-contract customers when appropriate.
• Direct apprentices in repairs and coach them in methods for quality execution.
