Job summary

AMPAM is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Service Division in Wilmington, CA. The role focuses on developing accurate estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service projects in multifamily markets.

You will work with sales, field teams, and subcontractors to deliver timely, competitive proposals. This full-time position requires 3–7 years of estimating experience, strong reading of plans, and proficiency with ServiceTitan and digital takeoff tools.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of estimating experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general MEP.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital takeoffs.
• Excellent communication with customers, field staff, and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate scopes of work and detailed estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service projects.
• Prepare proposals with pricing, exclusions, clarifications, and schedules.
• Collaborate with sales, field operations, and procurement to ensure timely quotes.
• Review drawings, specs, and customer docs to support takeoffs and pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and manage vendor relationships for competitive sourcing.
• Utilize ServiceTitan for field-based quotes and track open estimates weekly.
