Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a skilled MEP Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on moderately complex projects in Austin, TX. You will coordinate with design and preconstruction teams to assess constructability and value, supporting the overall cost strategy and estimating standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–6 years in MEP estimating or related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or construction field is required.
• 4–6 years of experience in MEP estimating or related field is required.
• Experience coordinating with design and preconstruction teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned MEP scopes and prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for MEP systems across project phases.
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements and risks, and document assumptions and recommendations.
• Perform cost and value analyses to support design development and decision-making.
• Engage with trade partners to obtain, evaluate, and clarify bids for MEP scope.
• Contribute to constructability and value engineering reviews related to system design.
