Job summary

Jobot is hiring a MEP Engineering Manager in Birmingham, AL to lead a multidisciplinary team across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering. You will guide design quality, coordination, and execution for multiple projects from design through construction in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in MEP engineering, building systems design, or related field.
• 3+ years of leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of MEP engineers, designers, and technical specialists.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specs for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, manufacturing, and construction teams to support project execution.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and quality assurance processes.
