Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Mechanical Drafting Technician to support large commercial MEP construction projects in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on drafting and design coordination for HVAC and plumbing systems using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, while managing submittals, RFIs, and schedules.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or related certification and hands-on experience with Autodesk tools, ProjectSight, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certification in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and other Autodesk design, drafting and coordination software.
• Familiarity with ProjectSight, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Forma and Procore preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, as well as related building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain accurate technical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems using Revit, AutoCAD and other Autodesk design tools.
• Prepare, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation within required timelines.
• Provide drafting and design support to project managers with drawings, schedules, and forecasts.
• Assist with project forecasting and coordination drawings to keep documentation up-to-date.
• Use Viewpoint Teams to manage project documents and submittals.
• Organize and manage project documentation to ensure accessible, version-controlled files.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate project details.
• Participate in meetings to provide technical input and clarify design elements.
