Job summary

Knutson Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Director to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing efforts across major commercial projects. You will shape MEP strategies, coordinate with design and construction teams, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget standards.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, drive risk mitigation, and negotiate with contractors and manufacturers to deliver The Knutson Experience (TKE) for owners and partners.

Qualifications

• Robust knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and codes.
• Proven track record leading MEP initiatives on large, complex projects.
• Experience planning and constructing commercial projects with strong budgeting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage risk and lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP strategy and execution from design through completion on commercial projects.
• Ensure MEP systems meet contract specs, budgets, schedules, and regulations.
• Oversee safety, quality, and compliance across MEP scopes.
• Coordinate with design, preconstruction, and client teams; manage bid packages and pricing.
• Mentor and develop MEP team members and subcontractors.
