Job summary

Uponor is seeking an experienced MEP designer to develop design concepts, create construction documents, and produce technical documentation for intermediate complexity projects.

You will work independently under supervision, utilize Revit/CAD and BIM processes for pipe routing, modeling, calculations, and project lists, while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires an AA degree (or equivalent) in construction management, engineering, architecture, drafting, MEP systems, fire sprinkler systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of trade design experience.
• 4+ years of AutoCAD or Revit experience.
• Familiarity with AutoDesk software (AutoCAD, Revit, LoopCad), Microsoft OS, and Microsoft Office.
• Experienced knowledge of construction methods, building materials, pipe sizing, and model codes.
• Must be detail oriented, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Preferred: CHD, CPD, BCIN License.

Responsibilities

• Convert design concepts into specific MEP systems.
• Use Revit/CAD and BIM processes for setup, pipe routing/modeling, calculations, and documents.

• Provide excellent customer experience and maintain documentation per Uponor standards.
• Participate in meetings, training and company updates.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of design, construction documents and technical documentation in various project/construction phases for MEP systems of intermediate complexity and medium scope.
• Work independently with moderate levels of project oversight and under the guidance of a senior team member.
• Set up and convert moderate MEP system design concepts into specific MEP systems.
• Utilize Revit/CAD and other software and BIM processes for project setup, pipe routing and/or modeling, technical documentation, engineering calculations, publishing construction documents, and creating project material lists.
• Accountable for the successful implementation of the scope of work and completion of tasks meeting quality standards and within the allocated timeframe.
• Provide excellent customer experience and maintain documentation in accordance with Uponor standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions and company updates, and seek personal development opportunities.
