Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (M/E/P) Intern to join the Project Services Group in Washington, DC.

This in-person, full-time intern role supports engineers in preparing design/construction documents, coordinating details, and addressing M/E/P design challenges within a construction environment. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of M/E/P systems and sustainable design principles.
• Proficiency with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Analytical skills to identify and resolve design conflicts and interferences.
• Competence in compiling and analyzing engineering data.
• Familiarity with sustainable design concepts and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, addressing general M/E/P and sustainable design challenges.
• Review and coordinate details and dimensions to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Perform basic drafting tasks and compile engineering data from prescribed sources.
• Research and recommend solutions for design document issues, including conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to integrate M/E/P systems seamlessly within overall project plans.
• Support the review and revision of drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with industry codes and project requirements.
• Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation to support project management, quality assurance, and regulatory adherence.
