Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to lead coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for hyperscale data center projects across the U.S. This traveling role offers a 2-week rotation, allowing you to be home regularly while supporting fast-track builds.

You will bridge design, trades, and field leadership from preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring seamless installation, turnover, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in MEP coordination, engineering, or construction management.
• Experience on data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Deep understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with BIM/VDC tools (Navisworks, Revit, etc.).
• Ability to read MEP drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination across trades.
• Willingness to travel nationwide with a 2-week rotation.
• Ability to start within 3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEP trades across project lifecycle.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and BIM coordination.
• Lead clash detection and coordination meetings.
• Support field installation to ensure alignment with design, schedule, and quality standards.
• Track MEP schedule milestones, including rough-in, equipment setting, and commissioning.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve field conflicts.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
• Assist with project turnover and closeout documentation.

Location: Nationwide Travel (Rotation: Home Every 2 Weeks)

Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 Base + Bonus + GSA Travel Package

Start Timeline: Within 3 Weeks (Urgent Hiring)

Company Overview

We are partnered with a top-tier general contractor delivering hyperscale data center projects across the U.S. This organization is known for executing complex, fast-track, mission-critical builds with some of the largest tech clients in the world. Due to a surge in backlog, they are urgently hiring an experienced MEP Coordinator to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

Position Overview

The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from preconstruction through commissioning. This role sits at the center of field execution—bridging the gap between design, trades, and project leadership to ensure seamless installation and turnover of critical systems.

This is a traveling role with a structured rotation allowing you to return home every two weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEP trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) across the project lifecycle
• Review and manage shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and BIM coordination
• Lead clash detection and coordination meetings with subcontractors and design teams
• Support field installation to ensure alignment with design, schedule, and quality standards
• Track and drive MEP schedule milestones, including rough-in, equipment setting, and commissioning

Preferred Experience

• Commissioning and startup exposure
• Experience with large-tonnage cooling systems, CRAC units, UPS systems, and generators
• Background working with top ENR contractors
