Job summary

Actalent in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an MEP Coordinator to oversee the coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on commercial construction projects. This contract-to-hire role works closely with project teams and trade partners to deliver well-coordinated, code-compliant systems and to support commissioning.

The position offers a path into a BIM/VDC leadership track within the project teams, with onsite work and a pay range of $36.06–$40.87 per hour,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• At least 3 years coordinating MEP and Fire Protection on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in Revit for MEP coordination and model review.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Experience leading coordination meetings and resolving issues with diverse stakeholders.

Job Description

The MEP Coordinator oversees the coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems throughout the project lifecycle on commercial construction projects. This role works closely with project teams and trade partners to ensure systems are well-coordinated, constructible, code-compliant, and successfully commissioned. The position offers the opportunity to grow into a key leadership role within the BIM/VDC department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
