Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Construction Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of MEP systems on commercial construction projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with field teams and subcontractors to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, excellent communication, and a proactive problem-solving approach in a fast-paced environment. Tysons region duties and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Strong understanding of cooling, electrical distribution, plumbing and building codes.
• Proficiency with construction docs, submittals, and PM workflows.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SolidWorks and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP activities with subcontractors, design teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day operations.
• Review drawings, specs and submittals for compliance and track RFIs/changes.
• Support field inspections, commissioning, testing, and turnover.
