is seeking a highly capable MEP Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects in the Tysons region. The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a strong understanding of cooling, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building codes, with experience in construction documents and project management workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) or related field.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building codes.
• Experience with construction documents, submittals, and project management workflows.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SolidWorks, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project operations.
• Coordinate MEP activities with subcontractors, design teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Track RFI responses, change orders, and field directives.
• Provide engineering support for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Perform field inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to design intent.
• Identify constructability issues and propose solutions early in the project lifecycle.
• Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and progress reports.
• Assist with schedule updates, procurement tracking, and cost control efforts.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and coordination summaries.
• Ensure MEP work meets quality standards and safety protocols.
