Job summary

Resolut is seeking an entry- to mid-level controls support engineer to assist MEP design teams in developing building automation and control system designs. The role emphasizes creating and maintaining control system libraries, documentation, and standards while collaborating with teams to ensure effective HVAC control strategies.

The position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent, 2–5 years in the MEP field, and proficiency with CAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in the MEP industry.
• Familiarity with CAD and BIM tools, including Revit.
• Proven ability to design and develop mechanical control systems.
• Proven ability to interpret and generate controls-specific technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design of mechanical control systems in a variety of applications.
• Development of project and system documentation per industry standards including Specifications and Sequences of Operation.
• Development of controls-specific engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Development and maintenance of company standards of practice related to controls.
• Development and maintenance of company standard controls document libraries.
• Incorporation of industry standards into internal controls design.
• Communication (verbal and written).
• Team collaboration.
• Problem-solving.
• Accountability.
• Technical understanding of HVAC systems and controls strategies.
• Familiarity with the MEP industry.
• Familiarity with BMS/BAS programming techniques and network design.
• Familiarity with common controls communication protocols (BACnet, etc.).
