Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent for the Shippingport, PA project. This full-time, in-person role sits on our Building Technology team and requires hands-on leadership of MEP installations, scheduling, and coordination with trade partners.

You will oversee field operations, support QA/QC, commissioning readiness, and collaborate with project teams from pre-construction to close-out to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery for the client.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all MEP systems installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors throughout all phases of construction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and ensure timely resolution of challenges using available resources.
• Support start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, and trade partners to foster collaboration and project success.

• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and commissioning protocols.
• Knowledge of safety programs and energy control procedures.
