Job summary

Holder Construction Group is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent for our Ohio projects, including Franklin Furnace, New Albany, and Conesville. This full-time, in-person role leads MEP installation, coordinating with trade partners and vendors to meet project specs and schedules.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in commercial construction with MEP systems, strong leadership, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred; position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress, and resolve technical challenges.
• Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all MEP systems installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors throughout all phases of construction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and ensure timely resolution of challenges using available resources.
• Support start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, and trade partners to foster collaboration and project success.

About the Role
