Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent for projects in Franklin Furnace, OH, Conesville, OH and New Albany, OH. This full-time, in-person role leads MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning, supervising subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring schedules, QA/QC and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects (data centers, stadiums, or similar).
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and commissioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving with multi-stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
• Supervise MEP subcontractors and vendors across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed MEP project schedules and drive progress.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and support safety and energy control programs.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolutions.
• Oversee start-up and commissioning to meet performance criteria.
• Maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers and clients.
• Lead workforce planning, logistics and resource allocation for MEP activities.

About The Role

We are looking for an MEP Superintendent to join our MEP team on our projects in Franklin Furnace, OH. Conesville, OH. New Albany, OH. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out, ensuring compliance with project specifications and Holder standards.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to MEP subcontractors and vendors, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, major equipment, lighting, fire alarm, security, building automation systems, CCTV, power distribution, and communication devices.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP systems, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC programs and support the Energy Control and Safety Program to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive timely resolution of challenges using all available resources.
• Oversee start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring systems meet performance and operational requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with owner representatives, architects, engineers, and clients while supervising subcontractors and vendors.
• Provide leadership in workforce planning, logistics coordination, and resource allocation for MEP activities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, stadiums, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and commissioning protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and advanced commissioning procedures.
• Knowledge of safety programs and energy control requirements.
