Job summary

ASM Global-SMG is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems maintenance at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The apprentice will assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, and have some experience or coursework related to HVAC or refrigeration.

Qualifications

• Must obtain a Boiler Permit within 60 days of employment.
• Experience or coursework in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical maintenance is preferred.
• EPA Type I, II, III refrigeration certification or 1 year certificate in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Respond to building service calls and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems.
