Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri is seeking a Mentoring Site Supervisor to lead our School-based mentoring efforts. You will coordinate program delivery at assigned schools, supervise Lead Mentors, and support approximately 80 matches between youth and mentors.

You will also manage school partnerships, enrollment, attendance, and data reporting to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), at least four years of related experience, strong

  • Knowledge of K-12 school and resource landscape.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing & proofreading).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work with diverse staff, caregivers, youth, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams; Zoom).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mentoring Program implementation at school sites to ensure fidelity.
  • Coach and supervise Lead Mentors with bi-weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate school partnerships and communications with staff.
  • Enroll and assess children; document enrollment.
  • Monitor attendance and program data; provide follow-up.
  • Develop department staff; create development plans.
  • Support approximately 80 matches between youth and mentors.
  • Occasional coverage for Lead Mentor at assigned school.
  • Update program materials and scheduling with school team.
  • Adhere to child safety policies and risk management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

2026 Employee Job DescriptionPosition Title: Mentoring Site SupervisorPOSITION PURPOSE: The primary goal of this position is to ensure children, youth, and young adults served in our ABCToday Schools program enjoy the full benefits of our Roadmap - Theory of Change Framework.Outcomes/GoalsLead Mentoring Program Implementation through:• Coordinate all aspects of the program to ensure fidelity and implementation at school site• Hold information sessions with family and school staff about programming• Provide direct supervision, training and coaching to Lead Mentors by holding bi-weekly coaching and support meetings.• Effectively communicate between leadership and team regarding programming at assigned schools• Fill in for Lead Mentor at assigned school as neededLead Site Based Team and Develop Managers:• Support staff in all aspects of the work• Meet individually with members to identify successes and challenges experienced. Create processes to track and improve employee progress.• Create development plans for department, as a group and as individuals. Consider the skills for individual and team develop and create pathways to learning.Support approximately 80 Matches between youth and Lead Mentors and assist in making matches:• Contact each Little, Parent and Lead Mentor per assigned schedule to provide coaching, resources and information as needed• Provide child safety education and apply child safety and risk management policies and procedures to all aspects of the job• Schedule, conduct and document enrollment of children, including interviews and assessments with recommendation for involvement in the program.• Support management of attendance of Lead Mentors and Littles in group by monitoring program data and conducting follow-up as needed.• Work as a part of a larger agency team to support youth in match relationships attending the assigned school.Lead School Partnership and Coordination of school communication:• Conduct team meetings within school team for coaching, support and communication of upcoming events and focus for Lead Mentors (at frequency agreed upon with school leaders)• Ensure logistics of school programming, including updating and preparing program materials and overseeing scheduling of groups with collaboration of school team• Conduct monthly check-ins with school point of contact for feedback and apply feedback to program adjustments, as appropriate.• Work in partnership with school to schedule group mentoring sessions between Littles and Lead Mentors.Other Duties as Assigned.Job CompetenciesOrganizing- Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources efficiently and effectively; arranges information and files in a useful manner.
